Gaia

This one was an idea that floated around in my head for many years before I finally drew it in 1984.
It shows the Earth Mother, Gaia, caring for her planet.

I did it in Prismacolor Pencil on Canson MiTentes paper. The original was roughly 8X10 inches. I made the planet look like it was glowing against the black paper by filling the area with Gesso before I began to use the pencils on it.

• The print has an image area of about 6x7.5 inches and comes matted on a piece of foam-core board. Open edition, signed by the artist. $25 + shipping and handling.
