School Box |
It's Back to School time again, so I'm offering a free model of a School Box circa the early 1980s. This one was sold at People's Drug stores for a small fee, and I've been storing stuff in it for twenty years now. So, in the spirit of nostalgia, here you go, to store your virtual stuff! It's a bit beaten up, but what do you expect after 20 years on a shelf! <g>
The model is made with a moveable top, so you can open it and see the People's Drug logo. You can also turn it around, of course, and see the back, or go back to the front. To preview all of that before you download it, just click on the words.
Once again, the LightWave model is all set up, with a Skelegon and Weight Maps that will allow you to easily open and close the lid. Just load it into Layout, Convert Skelegons, and start animating!
I've tried to make it easy if you'll be using the Wavefront .obj model, too. The Box and BoxLid are two separate parts, which should make it simple to select the appropriate Meshes, and set up the hinge in whatever program you are using.
The texture map shown is included, but because it's a design from People's Drug store, it's not something that you can use in commercial work. So, in case you need to make your own texture, the template is available as well. You can grab it here.
As always, feel free to use any rendering of the model in work that is not for sale. I retain the copyright for the mesh and UVs, and you may not sell or give away the mesh or the texture files. If you want to render the model in a picture or animation that you expect be paid for, please contact me for permission. Thank you.
